By providing the solutions homes and businesses need to keep warm, Mirabito has the “comfort” side of the equation covered, but that’s far from the only service the company offers.

In addition to providing customers with a full tank of gas, a quick snack or the one item they might have left off a grocery list, Mirabito’s convenience stores also partner with some of the most recognizable names in quick-service eating. For example, many of Mirabito’s locations feature Subway restaurants inside, and the company says the partnership between the two brands has been a fruitful one for Mirabito so far.

Mirabito says it also is proud to serve Tim Hortons coffee at many of its locations throughout New York. “Tim Hortons was founded on the promise of making fresh, delicious coffee every time,” the company says. “And they’re as committed to that idea today as they were in 1964. That’s why [customers] will see expiry times written on all of our coffee pots. This time proves that every coffee is served within 20 minutes or not at all.”

Membership Privileges

Mirabito understands that customers value convenience stores because they provide a quick and easy way to find what they’re looking for. That means many convenience store customers tend to visit the same location regularly. As such, the company offers ways to reward regular customers for their business. For example, Mirabito instituted its Rewards Plus program several years ago, which is aimed at giving the chain’s most loyal customers benefits for their loyalty as well as a reason to keep coming back.

Under the Rewards Plus program, customers who join receive a Rewards Plus card that they can present when shopping at a Mirabito convenience store location.

For every purchase customers make, Rewards Plus members receive points that can then be redeemed for discounts on gas, merchandise or toward their home heating accounts with Mirabito Energy Services. According to the company, customers can save up to $1 per gallon on gas purchases depending on the number of points they redeem at their visit.

The company says Rewards Plus members also receive monthly specials at participating convenience stores and can earn free coffee, fountain drinks or food with corresponding purchases.

“It’s our way of thanking our loyal customers,” the company says.

Giving Back

Mirabito says it believes in serving its customers with the best service and products available, but it also believes in serving the community, as well. For more than two decades, the company has partnered with various vendors, customers and employees to support numerous local charities. The company says these efforts demonstrate the pride it takes in the community, as well as its commitment to being a good corporate citizen and neighbor.

The most visible example of the company’s commitment to giving is its annual Mirabito Golf Classic. Mirabito has sponsored the tournament for 22 years, with proceeds from the 2012 event going to organizations including the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Children’s Home and the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation. More than $160,000 was raised during the 2012 event, which was held at Drumlins Country Club in Syracuse, N.Y.
